I am an experienced filmmaking practitioner specialising in in Post Production, namely Colour Correction & Grading, Video Editing, Workflows and Visual Effects with additional experience working as a Director of Photography on a number of arts, music, fiction and documentary projects.

Background

I graduated with a Masters Degree in Television Production from Bournemouth University in 2004 having previously achieved a 1st Class Honours Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Royal Holloway University of London. I went on to work as a freelance editor and filmmaker before entering the education sector and I have a record of excellence in course leadership and teaching across both Higher and Further Education sectors in the UK. I also have international teaching experience, delivering a number of masterclasses and specialised workshops for the UPAEP Global Summer in Puebla, Mexico in 2025 as well as Train the Trainer sessions for a British Council-funded project at LASU, Lagos, Nigeria in 2018. I currently work as a Senior Teaching Fellow at University of Portsmouth in the UK and Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Film Production course.

Exhibitions & Awards

I have worked as an editor and cinematographer on a large number of filmmaking projects that have been screened both in the UK and internationally, including Soho London Independent Film Festival, Berlin International Art Film Festival and the Rotterdam Independent Film Festival among others. A number of films have gone to achieve award success at KinoLevchyk (Ukraine) MADATAC (Spain), Beyond the Curve, Two-Dollar Film Festival (USA) and the Absurd Film Festival (Germany).

I continue to collaborate with a number of artists, filmmakers, musicians and performers on a range of moving image-based projects and have a particular interest in working with non-filmmakers to tell their stories. I am also a keen writer and continue to write scripts and short fiction and have read and performed at a number of venues in the UK.

Accreditations

I am a MC201 accredited Instructor in Avid Media Composer software and an expert user across DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Pro Tools and a range of other post production softwares and tools.
